Dear Coquina Sands Members,
We hope this email finds everyone safe and healthy.
One of the goals of the Coquina Sands Association is to keep residents informed of issues affecting our community. In addition to email updates, this year we are hosting a series of Zoom presentations by community leaders, exclusively for Coquina Sands residents.
Our first presentation reviews the November 3 elections. A couple of questions:
- Do you know how you want to vote on the six amendments to the Florida constitution that will be on the ballot?
- Do you know how you want to vote on the Conservation Collier Referendum?
- Do you know which local offices will be on the ballot?
GET READY TO VOTE IN THE NOVEMBER ELECTIONS
October 8, 2020
3:00 – 4:00 pm. On Zoom
Our presenter is Sandy Parker, a community leader who facilitates and encourages informed voting in Collier County and throughout Florida. Sandy is the founder of Sparker’s Soapbox website, sparkers-soapbox.com.
Sandy held executive positions in accounting, investor relations and corporate finance before retiring as Vice President – Treasury and Investor Relations from the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. A past president and long-time member of the League of Women Voters of Collier County, Sandy speaks frequently on Florida government topics to local community and civic groups. Sandy has an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA in American Studies from Douglass College at Rutgers University.
Vote-By-Mail ballots for the November 3 election will be mailed starting September 24. This presentation will review the state and local offices, candidates, proposed amendments to the Florida constitution and other referenda that will be on Collier voters’ ballots.
To register for this event, please email your name and address to EventsCoquinaSands@gmail.com. You will receive an email with the Zoom link for this event.
For this year, presentations are open to Coquina Sands Association members and all Coquina Sands residents. Please forward this email to neighbors and friends who reside in Coquina Sands. Help us to spread the word about these informative opportunities.
